Banned names :

Malaysian parents are issued a list of names that they are not permitted to give their children – including Hitler, Smelly dog, Hunchback and 007.

Sleepyhead Day :

July 27^th is sleepyhead day in Finland, where the last person in the house to wake up is dragged out of the bed and thrown into a lake or the sea.

Frog ritual:

In Rangpur province, Bangladesh villagers perform mock weddings with frogs in the belief that the ritual will bring rain.

Spitting contest :

In a Sudanese marriage, newlyweds have a milk spitting contest to decide who will become head of the household.

Cat curse:

In a region of France, they believe that if a bachelor steps on a cats tail, he will not find a wife for atleast a year.
